That’s exactly when I find myself — and probably you too — drawn to one of these unique island cafés that perfectly reflect the spirit of Siargao.
It’s not just about food — it’s about the feeling: sun on your face, sand under your feet, chill vibes, and meals that round off your surf day just right.
Anyone who’s passionate about surfing knows that good food and a great atmosphere are essential parts of the surfer lifestyle. There are quite a few great restaurants in Siargao, and as I write this, I’m sure another new spot is opening that might soon make it onto this list.

1. Kawayan Gourmand French Bakery
This small French bakery is a true gem on the island and my go-to spot after a long and tiring surf session. It’s located just a short ride from the legendary Cloud 9 surf break and currently the only place in Siargao that serves real French-style croissants — fluffy, buttery, and absolutely irresistible.
I still remember showing up there one rainy morning, soaking wet and exhausted from surfing, and that warm croissant felt like a hug in pastry form. My Tip: The croissants often sell out before noon, so come early!
They also serve super tasty paninis, perfect for lunch or a snack between sessions.
2. Happiness Siargao
Happiness is one of those places that instantly makes a surfer’s heart beat faster. The chill atmosphere, vibrant menu, and friendly vibes have made it one of my favorite cafés in Siargao.
You’ll often find fellow surfers hanging out here after their morning session, chatting and easing into the day. But it’s also buzzing in the evenings — especially during their 2-for-1 Happy Hour!
3. Goodies
Right across from Happiness, you’ll find Goodies — a stylish café with tropical vibes and amazing paninis. It’s the perfect spot to refuel after an intense surf session.
Their side sauce is seriously addictive, the coffee is excellent, and the fresh smoothies are a perfect post-surf refreshment. I also love the cute concept store inside the café!

4. Siago Beach Resort
The restaurant at Siago Beach Resort is more than just a place to eat – it’s a peaceful beachfront oasis. It’s perfect for a slow, extended brunch followed by a barefoot walk on the sand. The view is stunning, the sound of the waves accompanies every bite and the menu offers everything from breakfast to dinner.
Yes, it’s a little more upscale than your typical island café, but the food is beautifully plated, the service is outstanding and the whole experience has that post-surf luxury-recovery vibe we all crave.
5. Vedya
Vedya Café is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Siargao. It’s the perfect spot for surfers who love to combine healthy food, good coffee and community. The Restaurant is part of my favorite hostel on the island, the Vedya Boutique Hostel and offers a creative plant-based menu that’s not only delicious but also deeply nourishing.
At lunchtime, they serve a homemade rotating buffet full of fresh, flavorful dishes. The coffee here? Easily the best on the island. And since it’s tucked away from the main road, it’s a calm and peaceful spot to relax and recharge.
Tip: The Wi-Fi here has always been reliable – perfect if you’re a digital nomad or need to catch up on emails post-surf. But don’t forget to use a VPN to make sure you data are safe.
Bonus Tip: Isla Corgi Café – For Coffee & Cuddles
After a long surf session, if you’re in the mood for something truly special, stop by Isla Corgi Café! Known for its milk tea and friendly vibe, the real stars here are the fluffy little corgis who lounge around and love the attention. It’s the ultimate feel-good spot to wind down, reset, and soak in some furry island joy.
Total stress-reliever – and 100% Instagram-worthy.
