Unveiling the Surfer’s Journey
Your struggle of making Surf progress ends today.
Through SaltwaterSecrets.com, I not only share the technical aspects of surfing but also my personal experiences, mishaps, and the lifestyle surrounding the sport. I’m still struggeling with bigger waves and have much to learn,
but this journey has given me a profound understanding of the challenges beginners face. My goal is to support you on your surfing journey, helping you make progress quickly and staying motivated along the way.

Hi, I ‘m Charly
surfer & traveller
My surfing journey commenced in 2018 on the beautiful shores of Bali. At the age of 25, I initially felt I might be a bit late to the game, knowing that many top surfers had picked up the sport as naturally as walking. However, that didn’t deter me. The passion and drive immediately took hold of me, but I soon realized that athleticism alone wasn’t sufficient. As a beginner, I faced not only the challenges of skill but also those within my own mind.
For five years, I was what you might call a classic “landlocked” surfer, getting in just 2-3 weeks of surfing annually. The decision to leave Germany and pursue a life in a place with waves and sunshine was a quick and resolute one. Alongside my job in the real estate industry in Berlin, I pursued certification as a surf instructor through the German Surfing Association. This decision stemmed from my deep enjoyment of sharing and teaching this wonderful sport, as well as my desire to delve deeper into its intricacies.
Since 2023, I’ve been traveling from one surf spot to another, funded by my savings and local side gigs, searching for my new home in the world. Where am I right now? Check my and my partners private Instagram account: charlyandangel_
